WWF Tropical Tumble Tower and Puzzle – Review

WWF and Great Gizmo’s have got together to produce a range of toys and gifts all with an animal theme, and not being one to turn down a jigsaw puzzle I was excited to see what the range has to offer. We were sent the Tropical Tumble Tower and 1,000 piece penguin puzzle to try out.

The WWF Tropical Tumble Tower RRP £21.95 is a little different to other tower games we have played, and the boy loved the look of this bright fun 1-4 player game. The tower is easy to set up and stack, and play is made by throwing a dice with matching patterns of your endangered animals. The Tropical tower is made from FSC certified wood from managed forests and the 48 blocks have been split into 4 patterns with some blank. Each player takes their turn by rolling the dice then removing a block of the corresponding pattern. This can become quite tricky as you reach higher up the tower. This topple tower was cause of lots of laughter, and fun, and is a great game for those wet days at home in the summer holidays.

We were sent the WWF Penguin 1,000 puzzle which at first glance looked a little tricky with lots of white spaces. This puzzle retailed at £9.95 which is a great price for this size puzzle and I was impressed with the quality and finish of the pieces. The only slight downside was that the back of each piece is white and with so many white pieces it was tricky to work out what was the back, and what was the front. I loved the fact that the puzzle has no plastic packaging and comes in a nice paper envelope bag all of which are of course FSC certified.

I did think I might get bored or struggle to finish the puzzle, but found it was just as addictive as others I have completed. I did get stuck on all the white bits so it took me a little longer to complete. The satisfaction of completing was great, and I was very pleased with the final picture. These puzzles would be great for animal and puzzle fans alike, there are several to choose from and lovely 48 piece floor puzzles for the kids.

Have a look on the Great Gizmo website for more great WWF gifts, something for every wildlife fan.
