The Gob Stopper have a huge selection of retro sweets and I am sure will have something that even that difficult person would love. I was sent a click ‘n’ mix jar and chose three of my favourite childhood sweets. There was a vast choice and I decided to have flying saucers, foam mushrooms and fizzy cola bottles as these remind me of school days and sneaking sweets into school in my pencil-case!
The website is very easy to use, and has a lovely vintage sweet shop feel to the graphics. There is still time for delivery before Christmas, and this is free when you spend over £30. My small jar would have cost £9.99 which is very comparable to the prices for this type of product on the high street. There are gifts from as little as £1.20 right up to huge box sets, and some lovely different Christmas boxes.
My pick ‘n’ mix Kilner jar came very well packaged and crammed full of sweets, complete with cute string tag and sticker. The jar looked great on my kitchen shelf, but I will confess that it didn’t stay there for long. I am a big sweet lover, more than the other dragon family members, and have kept the jar on my desk as I work. The jar is now empty, but I look forward to finding something else to fill the jar with, reuse and replace on my kitchen shelf.
The next time you have one of those, “What shall I get them?” moments, why not have a look at the Gob Stopper, as they might just have something from their sweet childhood too.
