Today I was reminded while searching for a particular photo which I still cant find! of my kitchen not so long ago!
Its not looking its best, this was just after I had ripped out all the kitchen units, only to find where the old range cooker used to be and some very dodgy electrics!
It was a slow progress as a complete rewire, new piped gas for the cooker, new ceiling and lighting and lots of re-plastering.
It started to get better as the cupboards went back in, and then the floor. I don’t think the builders could believe the colour I painted it when they came back on the Monday, but I love it!
Today my new fridge freezer arrived so finally we are complete, now its a fantastic place to experiment and bake.
Love your new kitchen it looks great!

Wow what a transformation – I bet you are so glad it is finished! I hated it when we had our kitchen done as I felt I couldn’t cook in all the dust so we ate out a lot or at my parents or we bought in takeaways!!!
I built a mini kitchen in the dining room, we ate lots of takeaways and one pot dinners! It seemed to go on for months, but I love it now!
I have kitchen envy!
I remember when my kitchen looked like that empty shell that needed replastering etc. We had a mini kitchen in our dining room for months too! Love that purple colour on your walls – very nice!

yes the colour matches my summer house!! Sad but I like it..
It looks great! It’s a painful process but worth it in the end. I like to take photos of the process too. Great to look back on to remind yourself of how it was.
Wow! What a massive difference! What a beautiful new kitchen!
Your kitchen looks fab! I remember the day ours was finally finished and I was able to cook a meal for the first time in almost 6 weeks – definitely the best day of the year!

What a lovely transformation
Yes, I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but I remember having a kitchen like that. I was pregnant with my first at the time and had to have microwave meals (yeuch) with a piece of work surface supported on a few bricks as my table and as there was only a pipe in the kitchen wall, I was washing dishes in the bath. Not in this house anymore – but worked hard on that kitchen!
Yours look lovely – I’m sure it was worth the stress and mess

Wow, what a transformation, you’ve done a great job! I love the aubergine paint colour.x
Congratulations on your new kitchen, it gives me hope. I really don’t know what we will find when we remove the cupboards in ours, as the backs are don’t fixed properly all sorts of things could have fallen down. We can’t start our new kitchen until we decide where in the house we want it!
