What a difference a week makes!

What a difference a week makes, this time last week I was finishing off the last of two weeks worth of posts so that I could get on and start the decorating.

This week I am sitting here with no decorating done, wondering how on earth I am going to get the time to get anything done in the next two weeks.

Here is the culprit!

OK, so that may be a little mean to insinuate that Dad M wanted this to happen, that couldn’t be further from the truth, but it has certainly changed the family dynamics at least for the foreseeable future. We have always shared a lot of the childcare, jobs, housework etc… Now it feels almost like being a single parent family, and I am worn out already! Trying to negotiate around hospital and scan appointments, job interviews, as well as school clubs. I have already become Mum the Taxi! to be fair I was already but now I have two customers to juggle.

We are of course all hoping for best case scenario, which would be three months in plaster as opposed to the six months in plaster. Christmas will be interesting as one of the boys Grannies will also be immobile, I have threatened them with sticking the pair of them to the sofa and decorating them!

So what to do first, do I continue writing up posts in the hope I can catch up enough to have some free DIY time. Or do I just go with the flow, I guess in a few weeks time I will know the answer to that question, but for now I will sit here and procrastinate!

    1. I don’t know how some Mums manage it! Its a good job I am not working otherwise I have no idea how it would work. I think I’m just feeling a bit sorry for myself at the moment, and all will be good in the end…

  1. Oh no that’s not good news at all. Let’s hope it’s only 3 months in plaster and do take each day as it comes. I’m not surprised your shattered, it’s hard work when something like this happens for everyone (says the voice of experience!). Try not to do too much, I know that sounds silly. Thank you for sharing too #whatsthestory
