When we found out that we hadn’t been chosen as one of the Center Parcs families for 2014, we were a little disappointed, as we had great fun making our video entry.
We were also very excited to have an extra chance to take part by creating an Autumn inspired poem. With Dad M at home and having to rest with his leg up, we brought our poem to him. First though we had to remind ourselves of our fantastic trip to Exbury Gardens where we were kicking leaves and playing in the trees. We have some fantastic dried leaves which we collected from this trip. We used Emma’s tip of collecting leaves to help Dad M feel more inspired!
Be inspired by your surroundings – Observe as the leaves change colour from green to red and let the beautiful burnt oranges get the creative juices flowing, what does it look like and remind you of?
First we put together a word board with all the colours, feelings and sounds that we could think of, then we each wrote a small part of the poem. We then thought about the parts of Autumn we enjoy as a family and here is what we came up with, I hope you like it.
This is my entry to the Center Parcs and Tots 100 November challenge. If I’m chosen, I would like to visit Longleat.
