Undead Pets, Flight of the Battered Budgie by Sam Hay is the latest in a series of books from Little Tiger Press This is the second of the undead series that we have read, the first, Night of the Howling Hound was very good and I was looking forward to seeing where the story was going now.
While the undead pets books are part of a series there is no need to have read any of the others. The stories are easy to follow and there is a catch up page at the front of this book so you are quickly up to speed.
Joe is just an ordinary boy until he makes a wish on a spooky Egyptian amulet… Now he’s the protector of undead pets…and there’s a bonkers budgie in a flap!
These stories follow the life of Joe, a typical boy except he has lots of weird undead pets talking to him. It doesn’t help that he is the only person who can hear these spooky animal zombies. His friends and family think he is getting a bit weird as they keep catching him talking to himself and he is always getting in trouble at school. Joes task is to find out how to put the budgie ghost to rest, will he manage it or will his friends find out his strange secret…
Today you have the chance to read and find out for yourself what happens in the tale of the Flight of the Battered Budgie. I have three lovely books from Little Tiger press to give away, including space penguins and moonlight tales.
