Legend of Frog by Guy Bass

Legend of Frog is the brand new book from Guy Bass, published by stripes it is available to buy from tomorrow RRP £5.99. We were lucky enough to be been sent a copy of this book in advance, and so far have thoroughly enjoyed it.

The story stars of course a frog, brought up at the end of the world by Buttercup. Wanting to find more than the existence of counting clouds he ventures out with his catastrophe pants and his trusty stick Basil Rathbone.

I must brave the scorched earth and the blackened skies and the catastrophe – to see what the end of the world is like. But fear not, I shall return! And I’ll bring you back something nice!

Setting off from his comfy home the frog prince travels to claim his throne, but what he discovers is not what he was expecting at all…

We have all enjoyed this book from the first pages, making the boy giggle with silly names and brilliantly described characters. The boy has enjoyed reading on his own, and despite words he hasn’t come across before, has been very confidently working through. We haven’t finished yet so no story spoilers please! I am sure this book will be a great hit, and is a brilliant new addition to some of Guy’s other books which include Stitch Head. Legend of Frog is the first in a series, we cant wait to find out what happens to Frog and where he will go next. Find out more about Guy Bass on Facebook. or visit the Little Tiger Press website.
