Today I am reviewing and giving away two books from Autumn Publishing, I will confess to having a soft spot for this particular publisher. Possibly because I have been lucky enough to win some of their competitions in the past, or perhaps because they are just down the road from me and are a friendly bunch.
The market leader in the field of children’s activity and learning books, Autumn Publishing was formed in the late 1970’s and was acquired by the Bonnier Publishing Group in 1999. Based in West Sussex, the publishers aim to help develop children’s skills and abilities as part of the exciting process of growing up.
Autumn Publishing were kind enough to offer me a selection of books to giveaway and these two books are a great sample of some of what they do.
Real Racers
This sticker book aimed at children aged 4+ is part of a set of extreme machines, which includes Diggers, Trucks and Mighty Machines. There are lots of puzzle pages and stickers as well as a rather fun looking racetrack game where you can press out the car playing pieces.
Teddy Bears Picnic
This is a fun activity book aimed at younger children and has some lovely colourful Dot-to-Dot pictures as well as mazes and colouring in. I especially liked the fold out picnic play scene at the back of this book where you could make your own picnic picture with the stickers.
Each of these has an RRP of £4.99 which I think is a great value if you are in need of a book to keep the kids quiet on a long journey or a wet day! Autumn publishing also have lots of other books in this price range so pop along and have a look at their website, Facebook, or why not chat to Owlbert on Twitter.
