Rapidough family game – Review

Rapidough is one of the first games I remember playing as a adult group and remains a favourite to bring out at family gatherings as well as adult games evenings. Available from Drumond Park for ages 8+ RRP £27.99.

Table-top gamers, you’ll absolutely love Drumond Park’s RAPIDOUGH, the UK’s original and most popular team game of modelling charades. It’s absolutely hilarious – and, the whole family can join in the fun!

We couldn’t agree more, as this fun paced family game can bring out the best and worst in all those competitive modelers. Think charades for modelling clay and you will have a good ide of how Rapidough works. Players are split into two teams blue and yellow. With each player taking a turn at modelling and guessing. The modeler takes a card and chooses one of the words to model using his coloured clay. It is his team mates job to guess his creation. With only yes no answers this may prove more tricky than you think.

We have found that play can be adapted for the ages playing which is great for family groups. It can get a bit ruthless when played with adults as the losers lose the plungers worth size of dough. The game simply ends when one team runs out of dough. Rapidough is a game that is a family classic and one that when brought out at Christmas is always a hit.

Rapidough is available now from amazon with my affiliate link below or in your local toy store.

About the author

  1. I’d model The Little Mermaid in Copenhagen, Denmark because my two girls are into mermaids at the moment and love watching Disney’s The Little Mermaid!

  2. The pyramids of Egypt, I’ve always wanted to see them, plus I think they will be fairly easy to model!

  3. I would model the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona as it’s still a work in progress so I could keep my modelling going!

  4. The Sydney Opera House. I have wanted to see it since I was a child. But a model is the only way I am going to get to experience it for years to cone

  5. For me it would have to be the leaning tower of pisa! Because, the way I build things, it would be tilted anyway!

  6. The Leaning Tower of Pisa because I’ve been there but also I’m not very artistic and at least I wouldn’t have to worry about it being straight!

  7. I’d like to make my own original landmark of a giant book. It would remind people that they should educate themselves.

  8. If you could model a world landmark what would it be and why?

the Taj Mahal as it is so beautiful and reminds me of Princess Diana

  9. The Angel of the North because to be honest my artistic skills are severely lacking and it doesn’t look too taxing – although once I started to try and support the weight of the arms I’m sure I’ll change my mind!

  10. Statue of Liberty because it reminds me of meeting my better half the first time, hes American and we met online years ago.

  11. I’d model the Statue of Liberty as a subtle hint to my hubby that I’d love a shopping break to New York!
